Open beta testing Home will begin in 2008.

Company Sony plans to launch a public beta test of network service PlayStation Home until the end of this year, says MCV, referring to an interview published on the site IGN. Project Director Jack Byuzer (Jack Buser) said last week, as scheduled, a version of the client with a serial number 1.0. The final phase has begun a closed beta test, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of gamers.
In doing so, developers can not say when access to Home will be open to all comers. Note that the original network service planned for launch in late last year. After opening rescheduled to spring 2008, and in April it was reported that a public beta testing of PlayStation Home will begin no earlier than fall.
Recall that an official announcement PlayStation Home was held in March 2007. The project is a free online service that allows Gamers to create their own characters, change their clothes, chat with other users, develop virtual home and watch new videos. Also specifically for the Home will create a series of mini-games.
